At Whiston Willis Primary Academy, we are a safe, happy and inclusive community where everyone is valued, respected and celebrated. We embrace difference and promote equity, ensuring that every child feels a strong sense of belonging and has the support, opportunities and encouragement they need to thrive.

We have high expectations for every child and are committed to enabling all pupils to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. Through an ambitious, inclusive and engaging curriculum, we develop knowledge, skills and understanding while nurturing curiosity, confidence, independence and a love of learning.

We believe that every child should have a voice. Through purposeful talk, active listening and respectful dialogue, we empower our pupils to express their ideas, listen to others, challenge themselves and participate confidently in their learning and the wider world.

We are committed to developing the whole child. Through positive relationships, shared values and a strong sense of community, we support our pupils to become resilient, respectful and compassionate individuals who understand their responsibilities towards others and approach their future with a strong moral purpose.

Achievement: We will have challenging expectations of all our pupils which we will reinforce consistently as they progress through their learning journey. We believe that all our children have no limit to their learning and will achieve the highest possible standards with high quality teaching, challenge and support in an environment that is conducive to learning.

Behaviour, Safety and Welfare: Our school is a respectful, caring and empathetic environment. Behaviour in lessons is exemplary so that all staff can teach and our children can learn. Strong friendships, teamwork, respect and care are clearly evident at all times.

Teaching, Learning and Assessment: Our staff strive to provide the children with the best possible learning experiences that stimulate and motivate all. Staff are committed to developing a ‘learning culture’ based on research, collaboration and teamwork to improve their own skills in order to improve outcomes for all our children.

Leadership and Management: All stakeholders have high expectations of every child and will relentlessly work together to ensure every child develops well in all areas of school life. Positive relationships and communication between pupils, parents, staff and community will reinforce and further develop a culture of excellence and a commitment to all learners.
