Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is dinner money and how shall I pay it?

School lunches are £1.90 per day. Children can choose from a selection of lunches each day - Click here to view the menu. Please pay weekly, by cheque or cash, by sending the money in a clearly marked envelope. You are of course able to pay in advance for the month or half term. Alternatively, you can pay via parentpay which allows you to pay using your debit card online. Please speak to your class teacher or the school office about sorting an account.

Make all cheques payable to Whiston Willis Community Primary School.

What is the procedure for taking my child out of school?

If your child has an appointment, please let the teacher know and show them the appointment card prior to the appointment day. On the day, please come to the office to collect your child and sign out your child. If your child returns to school after the appointment, you must sign them in again.

What is the procedure if my child is sick?

Please phone the school between 8 and 9am on the first day of absence. If this is not done, the school will need to contact you to check why your child is not in school. When your child returns to school, please enclose a note specifying the reason and dates for their absence.

When are the school holidays and what time do we finish?

The holiday dates can be found on this website. Click here to view these. You can also request a copy from the school office. Please note - school will always finish at the usual time of 3pm for EYFS and KS1 and 3:10pm for KS2 unless a letter is issued stating otherwise.
