In the next few days, the children will receive their 'Lost Learning Days' letters related to their attendance for last term.

We are proud of the 88 children who managed to achieve 100% attendance during the term and it was excellent to see how proud they were to receive their medals.

The December attendance challenge did see an improvement in attendance across school for those specific weeks and the children have received their rewards.

We are still very concerned with the number of children who have low attendance and we are committed to ensuring the children make the best possible start in life by having the highest attendance possible.

We will continue to work closely with the Local Authority Attendance Service and families causing concern to improve attendance.

It is clear that the children who have the highest attendance do make better progress in learning than those with lower attendance. By being absent key lessons are missed and gaps begin to appear in learning.

Consistently good attendance is a life skill and will enable your children to achieve their best.
