What a first week...

What a wonderful first week we have had in Lion classsmiley

Welcome to all the fantastic Lions this year and thanks for working so hard during your first week as a year 6!

I   have enjoyed getting to know the many characters in our class and I'm certain we are going to have a fabulous, successful year!

We have  covered  so much it is hard to believe we have only been back for 1 week...

We have started looking at persuasive letters and techniques we can use in the future to persuade others to agree with our point of view.

We have also started place value in maths and explored values in lots of different ways!

In topic, we have enjoyed starting our work on the Tudors and exploring different forms of gruesome punishments they used as well as predicting jobs Moss may have had in our class reader 'The Executioner's Daughter'.

In PSHE we listened to the song  'Another Brick in the Wall' to discuss our views on school. Lots of interesting discussion before we created our own wall of positive aspects.

In addition to this, we have worked with Commando Joe ready for our sessions next week and with Nicky from Total Gymnastics and had our first session of gymnastics.

As well as all this we have worked with Mr Wong on our Science and R.E!

What an action-packed week!

Bring on next week Lions!
