The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Date: 13th May 2017 @ 10:36am

Our Nursery caterpillars are now ready to spin their cocoons and this week, we've all been observing them very closely! We read them the story of "The very hungry caterpillar" and counted the fruits that he ate. We sequenced the story and thought about questions to ask the caterpillar when he is inside his cocoon....Is it dark?... What colour butterfly will you be?...Are you still hungry? We've all been busy with a range of activities such as caterpillar name writing, threading, counting, ordering numbers and making playdough caterpillars. We have also looked at other fruits in the story  "Handa's surprise" and  enjoyed fruit chopping, sorting and tasting!
