London's burning - Fox Class

Date: 16th May 2017 @ 8:51pm

As our new topic 'Princes, Peasants and Pestillence' gets underway, the children have been fully immersing themselves into how the Black Plague was started and, most important, eradicated. Recently, we have been comparing maps of London from 1666 to London in 2017. The children identified the most visible changes and discussed why houses are now built differently.

Did you know that the Black Plague first originated in India?

Some of the children decided to create a red cross for our classroom door. In medieval times this was a symbol that the household had been infected by the plague.

Lord have mercy on us all!
